Dr. Brian Galacio is a board-certified registered nurse in informatics nursing. His healthcare experience spans over 24 years in various roles, including 20 years in diverse areas of informatics, such as clinical information systems implementation, education and training, clinical workflow analysis and redesign, informatics-related patient safety investigation, and EHR-related regulatory and accreditation compliance.

Dr. Galacio's educational background includes a Nursing Diploma from Dawson College (Montreal), Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver), and a post-graduate diploma in Applied Information Technology from the Information Technology Institute (Vancouver). In 2021, he completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). With his passion in health care, informatics, and education, Dr. Galacio implemented this online learning module for his DNP project to expand competencies in informatics.
